Julian Michael Carver is a writer specializing in science-fiction and media tie-ins.

Beginning his career in writing in 2019, Carver began authoring books with an emphasis on dinosaur related science fiction. This resulted in a number of books published with Severed Press, including Triassic and Megacroc. Additionally, Carver has a self-published book series for kids, The Backpack Dinosaur, which he has put out through Barnes and Noble.

Carver is also an avid media tie-in writer. In 2022, Carver’s novelization of the 2016 horror film Freshwater was nominated for the Scribe Award for the category of “Best Adapted Novel” by the International Association of Media Tie-In Writers, of which Carver is a member. He has also written officially licensed content for Commando Comics, BattleTech, Shadowrun, the only officially licensed novel based on the TV series Primeval: New World.
